What boats are eligible for OneCaptain?
All motorboats under 60 feet can, and should, get OneCaptain. It’s the better way to boat.
Can OneCaptain come out and repair my boat?
While OneCaptain connects boat owners with emergency assistance over the phone, we’re not able to send repair technicians to you. If an issue can’t be resolved during a call, we’ll act as the agent and contact SeaTow®, BoatUS® or a similar towing company on your behalf. We won’t leave you stranded.
Can you tow my trailer?
No, we’re not able to provide roadside trailer towing at this time.
Is there any reason you wouldn't dispatch a tow for my boat?
We’re unable to dispatch a tow if a state of emergency has been declared or if there is foul weather. We also do not provide assistance for boats being towed for salvage.
How do I get the app?
You can download our app from the Apple App Store or Google Play using your personalized code.
How will you know if something is wrong with my boat?
We receive telematics information from the installed device in order to diagnose critical events.
What issues can the 24/7 on-water emergency assistance help solve?
Call our emergency number if you can’t get your boat started, deal with engine failure, run out of gas, incur propeller damage, or have an electrical or other mechanical system failure. Please do not call our emergency number for personal or non-emergency mechanical failures. If you get into an accident or have a health emergency, please dial 911.
How much does OneCaptain Premium cost?
$549 for the first year, after that, your card on file will be automatically charged $299 annually. As a reminder, our hardware has a 5-year battery life. See participating dealers for more details.
How soon can I start using OneCaptain services?
OneCaptain members have access to all services 48 hours after they enroll.
Can I cancel my OneCaptain membership?
We would hate to see if you go, but yes, email us at support@onecaptain.com to cancel. We do not offer refunds, but your services are transferable with the sale of your boat.
